This is ludicrous! Shouldn't be considered until more research is done, citizens opinions/votes are heard, and Brentsville district has a voice when BOS does vote.

It is the responsibility of any government entity to protect the fair and equitable rights of its citizens. The voting authority issued to one by its public requires proper judgement and in the face of opposition; one must not bend by every wind. The public expects PWC to collectively ascertain research and evidence, and not make decisions in haste; that these decisions are reached using skills of leadership, and to be made in good-standing and out of good conscience. A vote at this time on transgender equality in PWC schools pertaining to the well-being of all its 'children' citizens would be issued out of haste. While this issue by a small minority is difficult and emotional, there are more effective short-term solutions to manage this concern without resorting to a fast-track 'vote'. That, in my opinion is the easy way out of this crossroad.

Please do not rush to judgment in making a change. This is a knee jerk reaction to the political posturing that is going on right now. Protect ALL children. Wait until more studies have been done.

Do not rush this decision. I have four girls in PWCS schools. Two in HS with a transgender friend. They do not want to share a dressing room where all girls are getting ready for Color Guard performances and half dressed with this person. She may identify as a girl, but still has male parts with male hormones.

It is my hope that the PWC School Board will stay it's decision on changing the Equity Policy 060. The fact that not even the State is settled on this change is significant. Please do not be hasty until studies have been done concerning the impact of this change; social, financial, educationally, etc.

This proposed policy change should not be voted on at this time. Let society at large and the courts decide this debate, as opposed to a School Board rushing to make a change before all voices can be heard by society at large and the courts.

Agree with many of the other comments re: not only the safety of our children, but their security. Is it not our responsibility to provide a SECURE school environment for our children whereby they feel comfortable? There does not appear to be enough substantive information necessary to determine how to keep ALL children safe and feeling SECURE in their school environment. Additionally, a vote is absolutely inappropriate until the Brentsville district has representation on the board. To vote on such a controversial matter without full information and without representation for ALL districts is inappropriate.
