Why is some activists from Madison have anything to say about Mi. Maybe the city needs to change the policy instead of conforming to activist rights group.. this nativity scene was always there BEFORE i was born

Being 52 years old, there is not a year that I remember the nativity scene not being in the band shell. This is a very sad, sad day!

I believe that there is no reason anyone should belly ache over it, Because it's against their religion. They live in a country where we are one nation under God! And let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas! If they don't like it they don't have to live here! Merry Christmas! CHRIST IS BORN!

Removing the Nativity Scene should be up to the People of our area NOT some outside Organization. Same on the City for caving under this pressure!

I agree, if separation of church and state is so important, why do city workers get time off. This issue seems to be an extension of the broader issue of freedom of religion. Unfortunately in our very politically correct country, you only have that freedom of you're in the minority. Just ignore it if your not Christian, not rocket science.

The Nativity Scene has been an important part of the community, and the complaint was coming from a group outside of the local community. If it must be taken down because of legalities (which I believe should actually protect the right to put it up), then perhaps allow a local organization a chance to "SPONSOR" the nativity scene to be put up there. This would take the pressure off the local government because they have a "SPONSOR" that "RENTS" the scene and space (at a low price...due to the seasonal weather...). End of story. Continuation of community tradition!

This is a shame Menominee. I grew up in the area and as a family we always went and saw the Natvity scene every year. Why does everyone else's concerns matter but the Christian.s we are people too. Please come to your senses and display the Nativity scene back up please.
