Looks bad and sounds worse. Why can't people let tradition stand?

The pipes should be in the front, not integrated within the ranks of the non-pipe band, just as Mark Clark envisioned. This change for the sake of change, serves no purpose.

Mark Clark established the bagpipes & drums at The Citadel to resemble what he had observed of band units fielded by WWII European allies. The pipes should be in the front, not integrated within the ranks of the non-pipe band, just as Mark Clark envisioned. This deviation from that standard seems to be just change for the sake of change, i.e., no good purpose is served. I noticed the change at the 2016 Homecoming parade and found it to be most unsatisfactory.

Put the pipes back in front. Up front, the pipes are very impressive. They immediately draw attention and, as such are unforgettable. (Shock affect!) Placed within the band, their affect is "diluted" and ineffective.

J. Ramirez, Thank you! I have received numerous PMs from parents who support this campaign. I hope others follow suit and sign. Your's is a powerful message and I hope more will follow. /respect - Chris York '89

I would love for the Pipe band to go back to the front. As a Pipe band parent, I know the beauty of their sound and having them lead.

They look horrible and sound worse. Change it back ASAP.
