Push Back on Washington's Radical New Education Agenda

It's enough for schools to teach children to be respectful to others. Then stick to basic academic subjects and the arts.

This is unacceptable, that you implement this teaching without notifying all parents of this change! You are not a Czar or dictator, you have been placed in your position by the people and for us. Please do the right thing by us and notify all families!

Talking to children about their private parts and sexuality is not a public service. That is private, and the business of their own families in their own homes. This is an offensive overreach and sexual grooming by people who would make them a prey to molesters. Stop grooming children in the name of education. The outcome of this form of 'education' has been a vast increase in the statutory rape of minors by their 'teachers', and it is more than enough. Get the state out of the business of grooming kids.

I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and I am a retired Kindergarten teacher. This policy is counter to any research regarding normal child development. Young children should not be subjected to this indoctrination information. They will be adversely affected by this. The American Academy of Pediatricians states that parents who encourage (push) young children to be transgender are committing child abuse. This new recommendation is tatamount to the same thing.

We, as a State and Nation, need to quit imposing regulations upon schools, businesses and the general public on moral issues like abortion, gender identity, and sexual orientation. These are issues that are private within each family and should be handled privately, not with government interference. Teach 'reading, writing, and arithmetic' (in other words, basic education), and stay out of moral issues. Our nation was built on a foundation of faith in God (read the original documents). We need to return to that way. Thank you for listening to our concerns and we pray you will turn back to our Creator in your decision making.

This is a huge invasion of family values. Please repeal the OSPI recommendations!

This is child abuse! It is not up to the schools to teach this kind of thing. Stick to facts and what people expect their children to learn in school; math, science fact (not theory), history, English, things that will further them in life, not confuse them in the moment and cause unknown harm!

Public school have NO RIGHT to Sexualize our children and grand children PERIOD !

I realize that there are a lot of kids struggling with transgender issues, but part of that is pressing of kids to questions their own biology. We have be smarter about how to approach these things, and shifting very basic truths is not the way to go about caring for a very select few who are struggling. As someone who works with struggling people regularly, the worst thing you can do is remove standards... that is when people get lost. Thank you

Keep education to reading, writing, and arithmetic! Start spending the tax payers money WISELY on education.

The state needs to quit trying to usurp the family's place to teach these sensitive subjects to their kids, and trying to force their own liberal ideas!

It is a parents job to teach these things if they CHOOSE too NOT the schools. Also, it depends on religious beliefs and if it goes against a religion the child should be exempt.

Parents pay property taxes for our children's education so we should be able to have some say in our those tax dollars are spent.

This is absolutely ridiculous!!! You have lost site of what teaching is for. We should be teaching our children reading, writing and arithmetic - not social agendas. Let the parents teach their values at home. I know that the government feels that they are best equipped, but we are failing in teaching the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. The government may not like what I want to teach my kids regarding social and moral issues, but my children are respectful, loving productive members of society who do not conform to the governments ideals or ask for handouts. Stop creating generations of those who follow what they are told and begin to create generations who will take us past the moon, make leaps in research and make our world better where it counts. Changing our society for less than 3% of the population is an outrage.

It is unconscionable to confuse grade schoolers about sexual orientation and gender identity. However well intentioned, you're way off the mark. It is hard enough for high schoolers to get their brain around it. I am a Masters prepared RN and mother of 4. I am strongly against this new OSPI guideline.

I wonder if you will find an increase in children being pulled from public schools when they decide to take over matters that should be handled by the parents. The government is overreaching their bounds.
