Enough! These are ethical matters best left to the parents to teach.

We are NOT okay with the new public education requirements to teach our children about gender identity, etc. This is truly alarming. Please pull this curriculum as it is in DIRECT OPPOSITION to our family's and others' families' deeply held religious beliefs.

This is a bad idea. The state can hardly teach basic skills like reading, writing, math, science and history. It has no business teaching sexuality beyond the basic science of reproduction.

This unacceptable to not inform parents and to push an agenda to such small kids who are struggling to understand math and learn to read on already accelerated schedules.

This is inappropriate education for students who are too young to even be made aware of sexual differences.

This is not an acceptable path. No wonder parents are leaving the public school system... looking for quality education instead of indoctrination and confusion.

Children this age are far too young to be taught anything on these topics listed. These children will usually be exposed to such things far too early in life as it is. We do not need the schools doing it at any age. This is a matter in which parents and grandparents should help to guide children NOT the public school system.

This is not a program for which I want my tax dollars allocated. When is the educational system going to get back to educating and leave instruction in social and moral issues to parents? Cookie cutter students is not why we send students to school. Get back to read, writing and math and leave social beliefs and attitudes to the parents.

This has no place in the education system. While we are supposed to allow this teaching, we fail at giving our kids simple personal financial education. What a crock of crap.

I do not want any instruction in public schools that promote homosexuality or transgenders.

The proof that this is despicable and cowardly is that it cannot stand the light of day. Our parent's generation never discussed religion and politics and policies like this are the bitter fruit. It is now up to our generation to stand firm and strong and resist the wiles of the evil one (Eph 6.1).

This is an outrage. My twin 7 YO girls cannot shower at the YMCA without fear of seeing a man's "junk" and whatever other risks come with it, and now they're going to be brainwashed by their school into thinking gender confusion is actually normal. All for less than 1% of society. Keep up the good fight.

The elementary classroom is not the place to begin this discussion on a moral issue of this magnitude. Kids this age are not able to logically consider all sides of an issue and then make a reasonable assessment of where they stand. I want to teach my kids to trust those in authority over them, whether they are teachers, police officers, or those in government. This is difficult to do if parents have to contradict what is being taught in the classroom. Yes, let's teach them to respect each other, be kind, be honest, and work diligently with integrity. But these young kids do not need the confusion that this teaching would cause.

We must stand in this issue as they will even seek to force this perversion into private and home schooling

You need to concentrate on a school education and leave all that other stuff up to the parents of they want their child taught that stuff. You teach my child that and I will remove him from your system.

This is just unreal. I encourage parents to homeschool and co-op homeschool.

There are some things that should be taught in the home. We discuss sexuality before our kids will be exposed to it by their peers and what we believe to be developmentally appropriate. Now we have to discuss it before Washington schools expose it to our children? You are forcing our hand. That is not acceptable. Furthermore, gender issues should be discussed in a way that there is plenty of support. A school setting does not have the time necessary to provide that support. Lastly, you have plenty of academic goals that are the business and responsibility of the schools. Teachers need to use all the time possible to devote their efforts to these goals.

This a matter to be discussed at home. The government is overstepping their bounds.

Let the parents teach all that stuff.

Aren't our children attending school to learn about reading, writing, science, and arithmetic? How does this cover any of these bases. This is an at home discussion to be talked about with parents. And what about the situation you are putting the teachers in. Common core is bad enough! This is over the top and totally unacceptable. How does it further the education of our "very young people"?
