Push Back on Washington's Radical New Education Agenda

Because as a parent, I would like the freedom to choose how and when these topics are taught to my children. And because teachers should have the freedom to not teach such subjects if it against their values or beliefs about what is within their role as a teacher to discuss with their students.

Absolutely not!! Parents are the ones who need to discuss this with their kids!! It's not the government's, the state's or the school's business!! It's total crap!!!

Leave kids alone.

I am ashamed of our lawmakers that usurp the Laws of Divine truth and Constitutional guidelines for selfish gain. True justice WILL be rendered against those who "offend the least of them," i.e. our innocent children. Shame on you.

Sexual orientation and identity should be taught at home and at the correct age..... the schools do not need to be the moral compass for my kids and family.

This is a violation and overstep of authority over parents objections.

Absolutely ridiculous idea.

I do not think the "The newly-minted health and physical education standards," was debated enough to be put to field. It is a really premature recommendation and the potential impact could really be huge, into the undesired way. I seriously recommend OSPI to reconsider this adoption action.

Knock off the social experiments in school and teach the basics and let parents take care of the rest.My children will not be in school for any of this garbage,enough is enough already!

This topic has no place in the classroom. Stick to reading, writing, and arithmetic and put some more money into programs that actually enrich our children, such as music and art.

This is not something that is appropriate for schools to introduce and especially at such young ages. This should be left up to parents to teach.

I am opposed to the new Washington State health and education standards which cover the topic of gender identity - these don't apply to 99% of the student population. If these children need help, they should seek a professional counselor outside the public school classroom.

This issue has become ridiculous. Kids should be left alone in schools concerning matters for parents to deal with. It is difficult enough to grow up let alone with "educators" trying to determine they should understand their "gender".

I am an early childhood pastor. I'm also a classified school employee who works in a kindergarten classroom. I respectfully ask that OSPI abandon these newly implemented standards.
