I think these things need to be addressed immediately, actually before they were considered. In the light of the Obama administration and Barack Hussein Obama's intimate involvement with street gangs since 2003, these things should have been considered.

It is not the schools' place to teach these issues. Neither is it age appropriate. Let children be children.

It is time for parents to be parents. Teachers need the time to teach students the basics of education. I think that parents have the right to remove their children from the classes that teach these issues, i.e. AIDS education. If this is pushed down our throats by our elected officials, it is not only time to refuse the "teaching" of these topics to our children, but also start electing officials who will support the majority. Whether it be the Superintendent of Public Instruction, or our representatives and senators.

Please remove these controversial topics and Let kids be kids. Teach them the basics in education of math, science and reading.

The new health and education standards does not represent the whole population's views and should not be taught in public schools. I oppose this LGBT curriculum to be taught to our children. The constitution states we have equal rights, but not more over reaching rights. This must be stopped.

This is much too invasive into the rights of parents to instruct their own children.

Leave Transgender out of schools, unless you're gonna teach them the bible.

Parents should be able to opt out of this. It is the parents place to tell their children about this subject, not the school.

How could school do this without parents' permission? This is not right.

This is not right. The kids are so small. They can be impacted intentionally for things contrary to their natures.

Let's please help our children stay innocent and pure for as long as possible. Let's teach them how to read and learn, and how to be kind to others. This will be very confusing for them, and misleading.

The OSPI plans to implement this change without requiring schools to notify parents. I have the right to know & decide if I want something this controversial to be taught to my kindergartener!

0.3% of the population should not be dictating what these kids must learn at such a young age.
