I do not believe that most of the material being suggested is age appropriate for elementary children. Nor do I believe that children should be graded for learning the material and accepting or rejecting what is taught. If it is to be taught in school which I feel is not the appropriate setting, it should be presented as information only. Sexuality should be taught by the family not the schools or government. I believe kids should be taught to treat all people with respect and kindness regardless of belief systems or opinions, but that doesn't need to be taught through sex education. Families should be able to opt out of any curriculum based on human sexuality. This doesn't mean those who do are phobic, radical, or even in opposition to what is being taught just that we want to be able to teach our kids when and how we want to in order to best support out child's development.

This is not education. This is the government trying to take the place of family. You do not have the right to try and take my place. I will not allow you to teach my children the opposite of how they are being raised. If you do, expect a lawsuit.

I absolutely DO NOT want my hold to be taught anything at school regarding gender construct. The state has gone too far! Teach core subjects and stop acting like the state has the rightto teach our children lies and things that go against our moral standards. WA has NO right to teach this BS to my child!

Gender should not be fluid. It's what you were born with. Regardless, students in elementary school, especially below the age of 8, should be taught standards, not controversial topics. Keep kids, kids.

What has this world come to?!?! These are our tax dollars going to waste people. So kids expected not to talk about religion in school, but they can talk about different types of sexualities. You wouldn't teach kindergarteners about the birds and the bees but THIS is okay? THANKS FOR TRYING TO TAKE AWAY OUR CHILDREN'S INNOCENCE

This should be made optional for students to participate in.

This is more than outrageous! The elected officials of WA State appear to be obsessed with the subject of sexuality. Their obsession cannot be allowed to taint our children.

These things should be taught at home, not at school.

So PC that your brains don't work Washington.
Screwing up kids as a result.
There are better ways to educate than a systemwide mandate.

Sensitive topics like gender and sex should be taught by families, not schools.
