This is outrageous. Kindergarten is challenging enough for both students and teachers with trying to meet educational standards and now they want to add this nonsense? My oldest isn't anywhere near the age to start school but I'm already thinking about homeschooling because of stuff like this.

This topic should be for individual families to discuss at home. I feel strongly that the public schools (government ) should stay out of it. Especially at the elementary level. It's so inappropriate for this to be taught at school.

This is the school system overstepping their rights and trying to be parents. This needs to be stopped!

This is not a topic that should be discussed in schools. What a waste of school time. Stick with the fundamentals which are reading. writing, arithmetic, music, art, and physical education!!!

I am completely disgusted to hear that this is now planned as part of "educating" our children. Schools have no business teaching any of this nonsense, school is about teaching our children to read, write and do math so that one day they will be able to enter society and hold jobs that will better their lives and provide for themselves and their families.

It is my duty and responsibility as a parent to teach my child about anything having to do with gender/sexual orientation and sex! Not the schools. Not the government! I will pull my children from Washington schools if this is implemented.

Things like this should be discussed in the home, not at educational institutions.

Gender identity should have no place in the school Curriculum. Not even high school!

Has our sate declined in values so much to think that this is actually ok? And then to think that they can hide it from the parents? What is the underlying objective here? If someone has a gender issue, take care of it within the value system and safety of your home and with your family. This BY NO MEANS falls under the responsibility of our educational system to be teaching or enforcing. The public schools are to teach truth and history, not trending and changing morals which will be to the ruin of our society. We must fight against this in our schools! Freedom of speech does not mean we can impose our beliefs on people in the public educational system. It means you can express them, but not teach them to innocent children's minds as part of the "curriculum".

Keep that kind of education to individuals who feel the need to seek it out! Young children need to be educated about other things!! This has to be a joke!

Parents are consumers of Public education and are entitled to know what is being sold to their children/families.

I have a problem with gender fluidity curriculum being taught in schools, especially to elementary school students. Gender fluidity ideals are not based in truth; it is a personal belief system that is presented as facts. I believe that schools should teach basic science and biology about human bodies - that is all.

This is unconscionable. It is wrong for the State to be normalizing mental disorders as healthy and normal behavior in the first place, let alone starting it at Kindergarten. Those kids are there to learn basic reading, math, and some crafts for cryin out loud. Stop this insanity!

This is not the responsibility of the schools. It is overstepping boundaries and is unacceptable.
