We need these students to have a place for a safe and responsible club. This is a sport that teaches a lot of skills. Please help them.

As a long-time competitor and coach in Indiana, it's critical to the junior shooting sports to keep clubs like this active so our youth can continue to learn how to safely compete. Indiana has a strong heritage in shooting sports and has produced many top athletes.

I petition for continued use of the Purdue Pistol club on campus. This country needs more shooting sports for college.

I am a Purdue alumni and support the pistol and rifle club and their competition teams. The university should be proud of how these teams have represented them in national competitions and should do everything possible to continue this great school program.

Please consider allowing the team to continue using the range until a replacement can be found.

One of only a minute number of Olympic sports that teams are made up of both male and female athletes. Shooting is demanding both mentally and physically which is what the college experience is designed to do.

Good luck and I would be glad to try and help keep your club active. The gun club at RHIT was a major element in my activities outside of class. Best of luck to your club. Ryan Clawson RHIT Gun Club - President, 2007-08

Alumnus and former member. Universities are supposed to cultivate the free exchange of ideas and different ways of thinking. This group is a positive role model - please don't suppress it.

Great tradition, character building activity, that a University should and can be proud to support.

I fully support the University allowing the Purdue RPC and ROTC using the armory for practice or providing other facilities.
