I think a pump track is prettier and more fun than a bunch of hobo tents and heroin needles.

Pump tracks and public areas like this are so beneficial to a child’s development. Please reconsider your complaint.

I’m from Pennsylvania and At the age of 12 I was watching some of my idols, that happen to ride bmx, ride 9th street. That was 24 years ago. Because of Austin being a part of bmx I had traveled the world and even for a decade lived in Austin and contributed as a grant writer for public transportation infrastructure as well as work at the DACC, implementing beautification projects throughout the city. I have since moved back to PA but the bmx culture, which instills character, life skills, and organization skills to kids, go hand in with Austin.

Having a safe and fun place to get kids outside is more important than one person. Keep the access and let the kids, adults and family have healthy fun.

Let kids be kids and use the pump track. Better than getting in trouble because they are board. The complainer needs to shut up.
