I oppose the rezoning. Traffic is horrible as it is right now.

It is difficult enough getting in and out of Stratfor during peak times, let alone making it a 4 way intersection! I vote NO to this proposal!!!

Stop the building. Let's develop a sustainable and well thought out growth plan and let the citizens of the county steer the growth rather than the developers whose goal is primarily to make money not improve the current residents living situations.

Columbia County needs to stop building new homes, they do not have the necessary infrastructure and it is time to just say no.

NO! There was an accident yesterday in front of High Grove Jamestown entrance due to high volume of traffic. Crazy idea to put more houses in this area.

NO to the proposed rezoning -- Hardy McManus Road can't support the additional traffic resulting from high-density development.

A significant increase in traffic flow on an already overloaded roadway is an unsafe situation for existing homeowners. This should not be allowed unless Hardy McManus is redesigned with widening.

We cannot afford to increase the amount of traffic, without doing something about the infrastructure on Hardy McManus. As a mother of two, one who is a new driver, I dread every weekday morning as I depart Stratford to take my child to school (left). It's simply dangerous and increasing the population will only make it worse. How many people will need to die for you to do something?

NO to the rezoning from R-1 to R-2 on Hardy McManus Road. The idea of a new development entrance across the road from Stratford entrance is totally unaccaeptable. We have lived in Stratford for twenty years and have watched this beautiful, quiet, safe area turn into an area full of housing and over-crowded roads with too many accidents, close-call accidents and fatalities.......build someplace else!!!!

Turning left out of Stratford subdivision during rush hour is very difficult now because of limited sight distance and many many cars coming FAST over the hill on Hardy McManus. Adding an entrance to another subdivision across the street from Stratford would be an invitation for accidents.

We have worked very to move into a neighborhood where our children can have good schools, above average home and a nice neighborhood where kids can play in the streets with other kids who's parents share the same values. The trafic situation is a fact and anyone who drives down Hardy McManus , or tries to pull out in existing traffic from Stratford or any other neighborhood on Hardy McManus doesn't have to be a genius to figure out the tragic implications that this proposed zoning will cause. Traffic however is not the only problem, the silent killer is our property values. It is a proven fact what happens to surrounding property values when smaller or more affordable housing starts surrounding homes such as the ones that will be mostly affected by the proposed rezoning and new construction to follow.
Our plans were to live in our home until the youngest of our four children finished school then as most of us do, down size when we get older and pull our equity out to move somewhere more affordable, not build something more affordable across the street to bring down the property values of our neighbors.one doesn't have to look very hard to see a trail of similar incidents stretching from Richmond county historically this is true any where it has ever happened. Blue ridge drive is a very close example. Eventually people start moving, property values drop the county makes less on taxes and the fine people of this area will start buying land in Lincolnton County. Please concider the residents of the surrounding neighborhoods before making a decision on this rezoning , ask your self if this was my home, my kids, my investment that this affected, would I say yes?
Thank you

I am adamantly against this development being created! Listen to your voters...the residents of Stratford and all those living off Hardy McManus do not want this to happen! The traffic this will cause will be horrendous and this will greatly diminish our property values! Build somewhere else! This area is already too congested!
