Pump the Brakes on the Pump Park

Please keep the land preserved and the emergency road clear.

Please reconsider this plan. Razing the final bit of natural habitat is short-sighted and counter-productive. Natural lands are the best thing a municipality can have to aid in storm-water management. Protecting this acre will pay dividends to the residents of Malvern now and for future generations.

Please preserve what little green space we have left! Chester County has lost enough! There are many more people (both local to Malvern as well as visitors) who would much prefer enjoying peaceful nature over a noisy eye sore bike pump park. It will also become a disruptive nuisance to nearby residents. They don't want it, listen to them! The thought of destroying any habitat for something like this is beyond comprehension! We need to care a lot more and respect the natural world around us.

Redevelop another parcel.

All for a park but there are places already clear and sitting vacant! There is no need to destroy more habitat!

I was born and raised directly across the street from the fire house. I’m blessed to be able to raise my daughters in the same location. I’ve had the joy of recreating all of my fondest memories with them (picking berries along the wooded areas, walks/bike rides through the fire house up to king street, quiet evenings on the porch eating dinner as a family, spotting the various wildlife that surrounds us). All of which is about to be put to an end over something frivolous that none of the actual residents who will be directly effected by the action have a say in. It’s not only upsetting/disappointing, but its frustrating! This is happening during a time that it’s nearly impossible to find an area of solitude such as this tiny corner we have on Ruthland ave. We are simply asking that you do not take that away from us. There are plenty of other great locations all around the borough that would be a better option for a bike park. The park over on memorial has PLENTY of land, or the wooded area next to the basketball and baseball field on first ave. Honestly, anywhere other than Ruthland. I can’t imagine that this is the best option. What about our fire fighters and EMTs? Their emergency lane will be gone. Traffic and congestion will definitely slow them down. How will they be able to safely exit their firehouse and get to the scene? I don’t see how a bike track could ever be more important than our first responders being able to do their job quickly and efficiently. This bike track is a slap in the face to every resident on Ruthland ave and the surrounding side streets (including our local firehouse)! I’m hoping and praying this project can get moved to another location.

If it wasn't safe for us to relocate our daughters bus stop to the corner of our house on 1st and ruthland ave due to the firehouse emergency lane, then how is it possibly safe to build a bike park in the firehouse backyard. Besides, people pay good money to not be in congested areas, which this would obviously turn the heart of malvern into. Not only would this mean more cars, but more bikes, with kids riding them as well.

We need to preserve as much forest as we can. Enough of paving over paradise!

The borough does not need the liability associated with this pump park. There are much more pressing issues to address. Located right next to the fire station is an accident just waiting to happen.

Save the green space. If you're going to construct a bike park, then do it somewhere that is ALREADY paved!

We must preserve as much of the remaining natural lands as possible! Find another location for a pump park, please!

There is so little unpoiled forest left in Chester County or in the world for that matter. I will never understand how anyone doesn't know we need these spaces for the wildlife to survive and how it benefits humans as well. PLEASE SAVE THIS PARK. Find another place for the pump park.

I am all for the park in a different location. Protect the land and the habitats of the animals.

Wildlife has as much, if not more, right to exist peacefully on this earth. We've already wiped so much out. It's time to stop and learn to co-exist so that we may all exist.

I live in Malvern and do not want to see this happen in the borough. We need more open space in Chester County not less!!

Pump park is a great idea, but not when it requires a forest to be destroyed. Wildlife habitat is becoming scarce in eastern Chesco. The woods make this area a special place to live.

Please do not vote to eliminate this protected acre.

We don’t need any more concrete!
