Saru is a lawyer that thinks she knows what we industry folks need, but is flat out wrong and she is causing a stir that has a very adverse effect.

If you want facts check out the testimony that hundreds of industry workers read at the DOL hearings last year stating why wages should be left alone!

As an informed restaurant worker, I oppose the Film as it is nether factual or a documentary. It is an agenda to change a business model that does not align with the creators ideology.

What a load of rubbish! These ROC folks are nothing but fake puppets for the Unions who are trying desperately to raise payroll taxes by eliminating the tip credit. They do not care about the collateral damage to millions of restaurant workers across this country. They do not have a clue of what actually happens in a restaurant & are definitely unqualified to tell us who to run our business!

I totally agree with you, I raised four kids who are now successful young adults, I took care of my mother for 6 years ago at Alzheimer's after a small stroke. I wouldn't have been able to do any of that if I was not a tipped employee and I was making minimum wage instead.,,,

Having employees at the service industry not be tipped would devastate my income and put me below poverty level even if minimum wage raised. I would not be able to afford the basic things in life lake health insurance, my rent and utilities, let alone Life unexpected things like a 26 year old daughter who is diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. I would never be able to help her to fight cancer if I was not a tipped employee and I was making minimum wage instead.

Let's use this propaganda to strengthen our resolve. The only legitimate voices of our industry are Restaurant Workers of America, National and state Restaurant Associations, City Hospitality Alliances, Full Service Workers Alliance of Seattle, Supporters of the tip credit New York, and the ACTUAL voices of our industry workforce.
