Please protect the public access to Walton county’s beaches.

@FLRickScott needs to understand Customary Use of Beach versus "access" to beach. He is NOT acting in the best interests of the people based on his actions on this bill

The governor signing HB631 screwed the PEOPLE of Walton county & his executive order to correct, is bogus! Do the right thing for a change! Repeal HB631! Work for THE PEOPLE, not your friends!

I grew up walking the gulf coast beaches, my family owned homes and properties in the beach communities. My favorite childhood memories were developed from enjoying the beauty of not only the skies and water, but also the soft, sugar white sand. It is such a shame that only a few should be allowed the experience which brings so many happy memories to so many. I can understand that property owners wouldn't want strangers encroaching on their back door for many reasons however, the lines drawn at the dunes have always been respected and the beaches enjoyed by everyone. In my opinion, this new law may have a negative effect on the economy when beach lovers can't enjoy themselves because the boundaries will limit the, once seemingly limitless, miles of peaceful walks and runs uninterrupted by signage and threats of fines or arrests. When the tourists who are not property owners choose other beaches around the county hence, also choosing other establishments to support, will the property owners shop and dine enough to 'support local'? When storms roll through, are the property owners, many who are only there for a week each year, going to pay to bring in the sand to build up the dunes and beaches of their 'now private' property? Or, will the same taxpayers, who now can't even walk leisurely down the shore, be required to help through the taxes they pay now? Every child, no matter the parents financial status, should be able to chase seagulls, run from waves, build sandcastles, and feel the freedom of the beaches. Please consider everyone before deciding to pass this law! There has to be a better solution than dividing the beaches! Surely there are unbiased, fair, family dream supporting people on the deciding committee who have the ability to think about something other than money, power, and the 'it belongs to me' mentality.

The beach does not belong to anyone . No one wants to sit in front of rentals but the public beach access is so crowded now sometimes people don’t realize they are upsetting homeowners what’s the big deal the beach should be available to everyone! Period !!! I am a local and I think this is Absolutely ridiculous

Please please remember why people love Florida...for the beautiful, God given beaches. Don't deny people the right to enjoy the sand and the water. It doesn't make any sense.

Emergency and trash vehicles need access. This area depends on tourism. Where are property values and rental prices going to be if we take away all the tourist?

This is ridiculous. The state relies on tourism and we will be losing much of that for the self gratification of a few. Will these people be picking up the slack monetarily? Not likely.
