If this is a publicly funded reservoir then it should be accessible to the public for fishing, swimming and boating.

Resident of chesterfield County; public with fishing licenses should be able to use this body of water for recreational paddling

As a tax paying citizen, I agree that all residents should have easy access to this body of water. It would be different if the surrounding communities paid for the up keep of the reservoir, however, that is not the case.

I think you should take bring this in front of a federal court as the dam and watershed are listed in the Army Corp of Engineers inventory giving them ultimate jurisdiction as to use and inspection of the dam. It's sad when you get afew greedy apples in public office and real estate. In my opinion it should be opened up to the public but should be restricted to NO gasoline or diesel engines. It appears right now the county is managing the output of drinking water and when last checked I believe their paychecks come from taxes. Good luck. There's power in numbers.

This is very hypocritical. If it's a public lake, there should be public access. This should also be a 9.9 lake (which has zero effect on the drinking water), but that's an entirely different argument. This lake was created with public funds when it was originally dammed up and now the only benefactors are Brandermills and Woodlakes real estate prices.

Please create a public boat ramp off Woolridge. Won’t have to let public use private ones in Brandermill/Woodlake

Chesterfield resident - I was walking around Brandermill near Sunday’s restaurant and a policeman asked us if I was a Brandermill homeowner- is said no, he said I had to leave. Never seen such arrogance in a neighborhood
