We as a community including the teachers and administration need to come together to make the best decisions for being a successful and sustainable community. We all the area including the schools and the teachers but the union needs to look at the business world and see how good they have it and their demands are just unfair! I WILL WAIT! Let's get back to school for the kids!

If only our employers would ask if it was okay that our insurance was raised! We pay double that for insurance with a $3000 deductible!

Don't cave....we support the school board. Take a look at the interactions, compromises, and resolutions that actually occurred in those comparable South Hills school districts when their most recent contracts expired. You may be surprised.

I don't 100% believe in being quiet because I strongly believe that our voices deserve to be heard. But I 200% believe in supporting the school board against the strike. Most of us parents are pro-teacher, anti-strike. But the demands of the PTFT have been greedy to the point of being offensive. So at this point, I'd like to see the school board go back to their original offer and not give in one inch to the union.

I couldn't agree more with Mr. Tabor's sentiments. I applaud and support the group of parents that recently met in support of our community. My father lost his job two years prior to retiring because he believed the union's lies.

I lead a team of people whom I wish I could give raises each year of $2000 but I don't have the money for that. I do however, give more money to those who perform vs everyone being entitled to the same amount. There are also a lot of people who pay hundreds of $ every month for high deductible health care plans. Teaching is a hard job that wouldn't be for me but I have a really hard job too in my own profession and high stress. They aren't the only ones.

Over the last 20 years, the average American household has had close to a zero per cent increase in nominal (not real, actual) income. At the same time, we've had to deal with the institution of large, and growing, deductibles and copays as well as sharp increases in medical insurance contributions that we pay. The teachers have no right to be treated as royalty to be compensated far better than all the rest of society.

An unabashed display of greed and averice. Each an every teacher should be ashamed and embarrassed! You are already recieving more than deserved. Thousands, if not tens of thousands of teachers would kill to teach at PT. Your total disregard for the children and parents of PT is reprehensible! You have disgraced yourselves and the entire teaching profession.

It's hard to believe in today's day and age that these tactics are used. I say get rid of the Union and these teachers. There are Many other qualified teachers out there that are willing to work For a lot less that would beg to have a job in our district.
