The federation and the PT board do not represent "true leadership". They are unable to see the impact on our children's education and so many innocent teachers. It's amazing that bullying and egos still get in the way in this modern world where education is the foundation to our children's successful future. Shame on all of them. Sequester them all in a room until they work it out. Let the suffering be on them. I'm having fun with my kids!!!

My husband is only working one or two days a week, and we are trying to manage the diminished income along with rising healthcare costs. We simply can't afford to pay anymore for these outrageous demands from the union, particularly considering our teachers are already among the highest paid in wages and benefits around. I stand strong with the board and am willing to wait, even though my only child is a senior in high school and losing out on important education at a time when he needs to be preparing for college.

I support families in PT as well as the excellent teachers in PTSD. I do not support the published demands of the PTFT. The people who directly pay for teacher salaries and benefits have lost salaries and benefits. You can't bleed a turnip.

I support the board and will stand with them. If the end result is they end in arbitration then why don't the teachers agree to start there. They all say they care about the kids then show it!

I not only support our board but also the many teachers who would much rather be using their talents in the classroom vs. the picket line. I appeal to these teachers to not silently accept what your union leadership holds out as an achievable, realistic contract. Do your own research and come to a personal decision based on your understanding of what is competitive and then decide if it makes sense to continue this strike. Our children, your students, look to you to model professional behavior, which includes keeping a commitment to lead them in the classroom each day, even as you juggle your other important responsibilities. Please don't let them down.

There are MANY teachers that would love to work in Peters Township and an over abundance of applications I'm sure. If I walked off my job because my employer would not give a 7.5% raise + $2500 more5 yes I would be terminated.
Let the interviews begin!

I stand behind our school board 100%! I applaud their efforts. They have an overwhelming amount of support in the district! Thank you to each and every school board member!
