Somerville is moving forward. Don’t let this charter school divide our community. Say No to the Somerville ‘Progressive’ Charter School We are parents, neighbors, and Somerville residents who believe a new charter school in Somerville is the wrong way to improve our school system. We are committed to making Somerville a place where we can work together to improve education for ALL.

Seeing this kind of movement in our neighborhoods confirms that so many of you share my deep concern about how this proposal threatens the future of our local schools. It is moving to realize we are all fighting for the same community values. Thank you for staying focused on keeping our education system truly unified.

One hundred of us have already spoken up to protect the future of our local schools. Seeing so many neighbors stand together reminds me why I fought for our community in the first place.

Public schools belong to the community. Privatization is just a way to shut people out.

Why are we even debating this? Fix the schools we already have instead of creating new layers of red tape.

Keep our funding in the public system. We have enough to deal with already without taking resources away from our neighborhood schools.

Support our teachers and our current schools. Enough with the charter experiments.
