Seeing this kind of movement in our neighborhoods confirms that so many of you share my deep concern about how this proposal threatens the future of our local schools. CHARTER SCHOOLS DO NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE! Stop trying to turn our kids into business ventures.
dont let them divide us. somerville is better than this corporate nonsense.
Why are we even debating this? Fix the schools we already have instead of creating new layers of red tape.
Keep our funding in the public system. We have enough to deal with already without taking resources away from our neighborhood schools.
Support our teachers and our current schools. Enough with the charter experiments.

Public schools belong to the community. Privatization is just a way to shut people out.
