We need to end systemic racism not coddle the sensitivity of white people unwilling to join the anti-racist movement.

It’s concerning that this person is in a position of power and privilege and is considered an expert in this field yet he lacks basic awareness of how offensive and demeaning this article is.

You guys really need to get it together. Go ahead and have a white man write about Black Pain. You all aren’t the ones calling out Karen’s it’s the people who otherwise would be subject to their tyranny

It was an inapproptiate editorial that should have never been allowed.

It’s time to evolve the messaging of psychology today to be inclusive and representative of the values that I uphold. I’m ready to cancel my membership if Big changes don’t happen FAST

I really could not understand how an article such as this was published on psychology today. The abuse of power and weaponization of white fragility has always been a concern, it’s just being recorded now. As a person of color, I do not trust that myself nor my clients who would seek me out on your platform is represented or respected there.

I am signing this petition because I found the article offensive and an co-signing to a group of people who generally treats their own drama in these situations. It also did not correctly reflect the how Karen’s of the world Weaponize their fears mad jeopardize the lives of people of color by engaging law enforcement and others when they have worked themselves into rage.

Please remove this article promptly. His opinion is not based on any solid ground and surely does not represent the majority. As a subscriber and someone who has aligned with your company I find this hugely offers. Further, I pride myself to be a part of a community who is denouncing racism and misogyny while caring for and treating those with mental illness.

As an LMFT who also happens to be a woman of color I refuse to renew my listing on psychology today until this tone deaf article is publicly revoked. Also, I know of clinicians who have submitted well written articles on anti-racism and mental health as well as on race-based trauma and have had their articles rejected for submission. Those are the articles Psychology Today should be publishing, not this poorly written article which clearly lacks cultural awareness and critical thinking.

This article was at the very least, tone deaf, but more importantly is harmful to the BIPOC community. This, plus your continuous focus on white imagery, and the white experience is unacceptable. Do better.
Please revoke
they gotta go!!
