I will happily join this new Section within Division 39. After attending the One Day Child Congress sponsored y the Dept. of Psychoanalytic Education of the American Psychoanalytic Association, I came away realizing how important it is as a psychoanalytically informed therapist to understand my young patients and teens who are digital natives. I need to understand and possibly include their use of technology and its meaning as a form of play and/or communication within the treatment room. There is much work that remains ahead for all of us. Adding this Section is necessary at this time in our lives. My thanks and gratitude to all the organizers for spearheading this Section.

I would like to join the conversation and its involvement. -member of APA Division 39.

I have published the first empirical research on distance psychodynamic training and treatment

We absolutely need this Division to help us to address the challenges Psychoanalysis may have in the 21st Century, as well as be the leaders to educate why interpersonal interactions that require eye contact (even if via Skype or other technologies) is essential for change and transformation.
