Proposed Section, Division 39 - Psychoanalysis and Technology

This is both timely and necessary.

I am using technology in my practice and would like to learn more about its applications to private work

I am an ECP and member of Division 39. Attention to technology, it's use, and integration into our lives and the lives of our patients is a necessity and is a specialty area of mine. I look forward to contributing to Section X.

Division 39 member. As an ECP, and someone who sees the growing role of technology in treatment, I would be very interested joining and participating in this section.

A timely and needed focus as psychoanalysis is at risk of falling behind on effectively formulating these dilemmas.

Very much needed indeed. The screen “addiction” includes, what patients self-diagnose as porn addiction. I work with couples and other relationships and technology is particularly important as a regulating/disruptive force in relationships.
