I hereby stand in strong support of the continuation of the Assistant Language Programme for Jamaicans. This programme is hallmarked for facilitating the exchange of cultures between France and the participating countries and has provided an excellent opportunity for Jamaicans to not only share there culture and talents with the people of France but to also expand their horizons and become exposed and more rounded individuals. For this reason, I join with all the others in our bid to keep the programme alive in Jamaica for many more years to come.

I believe this program forms a critical component in the development of Jamaican 'french students', imposing further restrictions to their participation could significantly impact their attraction to the language.

Having to go to Panama is nothing but a limitation on what French students have and are working hard for and we would really appreciate it if both government parties, Jamaica and France, could rethink their decision in order to lessen the cost because we are already struggling to pay the airfare to France alone. Thank you for your consideration.

Because I'm a student I know how expensive and difficult this is to study what we want. It's already hard enough to let this happen, many of us can not afford this way of living (I mean to study, between loan to the bank, job, lack of time to study, the pressure ...) , so why do you try to make ot harder.
