Providence resident's pedestrian access to Greenvale Reservoir Park

Access from Providence to Reservoir park makes good sense as I enjoy taking my grandaughter for walks around the reservoir and driving a car is causing more pollution and parking problems

Please allow us access to the reservoir from Providence as taking a car to the playground causes more congestion

Please let us use the reservoir park!

Thanking Shane for doing this petition. As a resident of Providence our family want a gate placed to the reservoir for easy access and to avoid taking the car. We plan to use the park often for bike rides and picnics.

Thanks so much for organising this Shane. I am on PostanoGrove and have two small children and was looking forward totalling the for walks to the reservoir. Access to the reservoir was a selling point for these blocks and considering the inflated price we have paid for these blocksOl

Would be nice to have access to the park. Doesn't need to be a car entrance, but a pedestrian entrance would be nice.

We bought land here for this too - very disappointed that they took access away from us!

I think this is a great idea - we were wondering what was happening with this too. Even just a pedestrian gate with a latch so that the kangaroos don't come over if that's what they are really worried about!

My partner and I were very dissapointed when we moved in and were advised there was no access to the reservoir.... considering we were told there would be 3 access points which was very appealing when we were looking a the property and contributed to our decision to purchase our townhouse. our townhouse is on venezia promenade opposite the reservoir- every morning i walk out and look at a big fence! my partner and i visit the park often and its frustrating that we can literally see it yet have to drive all the way to somerton road to enter the park and then literally pass our townhouse while making our way to the car park! this needs to be rectified and i think an investigation needs to be made into the information Oliver Hume provided to potential buyers and also in regards to how the acces was applied for and the denial.

Thanks Shane for initiating this. I too would love to be able to ride the bikes in the park. I am fast learning that Oliver Hume will tell us anything to purchase the land with little recourse down the track. I guess its like all the residents are still waiting for the shops to commence construction. Thanks again Shane.

The main gates are opened and closed again in the evening the same theme can apply to a residents gate

Well done Shane on putting this together. We would love to be able to walk our dog over there also.

Not only will this be a great option to have for an already limited recreational suburb but it would also be the right thing to do if it was promised to the people who purchased homes when it was part of the plan in the first place.

I agree with you Shane the park was 1 of the reason's why i bought a house in providence ..I think Oliver Hume tricked with access to the park knowing it was going to be denied..as are resident we should have access something like gate's with swipe card but not willing to pay extra for it should be included in the rates allready..

I agree I residents in this estate should be able to access the park!
