There will not be enough Parking for residents already living there and traffic will increase, it will be a nightmare.

This will decrease the quality of living for the residents greatly, flats will have no sunlight, parking is limited already, road traffic will increase, the build will go on for another 2 years minimum and looking at the state providence house is still in I don’t see the developers being any better with building a hotel only worse ! The flats are not all sold yet anyway so there’s not a need for more flats here. There are local hotels which aren’t booked regularly ! Etc etc

If this goes ahead, there will not be enough space for any visitor parking to all those living in Providence House.

This is a complete joke, the Mackenzie Smith website states ALLOCATED PARKING... (http://www.mackenziesmith.co.uk/introducing-providence-house/) I presume that now means that the car will be in a Double Room...
Both the Developer and the Building Contractor are completely hopeless and have no concept of deadlines or the fact that they are causing their customers no end of grief.
Chances are the new hotel and apartments will be finished before these clowns will finish this conversion.

Plans conveniently only disclosed to buyers at Providence House after they had exchanged contracts. The new plans will mean that buyers who have already suffered severe delays in the building of their new properties will now also have to put up with the glorious view of a building site for the foreseeable future. Given the developers inability to meet any of the multiple deadlines they set, I expect this to be at least 2 years. Wonderful.
Massive reduction in available parking will also undoubtedly mean that residence of Providence house will need to line the streets with their cars. I am sure the local business will really appreciate that!

I cannot see the justification for a hotel of this size in Hook given that there are 4 already in the vicinity which are seldom full. And reducing the number of offices in the business park must surely reduce this need further as people on visits to these premises for a few days would be reduced proportionately. Furthermore if I were one of those who had bought an apartment in the Providence House development (60% sold apparently) I would be looking at my options already. Building on the car park means there will be reduced car parking for the residents of the apartments and hotel customers.

This is unacceptable, we should have been notified of the plans prior exchanging contracts.

I'm currently a resident in providence house. These plans are totally unacceptable and was not in place when we purchased the property. These plans will completely change the feel of the area and mean we will be living in a building site for several years to come. Totally unacceptable

Totally unacceptable. There is limited space for any development and it would totally change the area where we are now living in the area.

The non existence of any written or other notification to PH residents before completion and prior to planning submission for this extra hotel and flats development will be going in a personal objection comment to this planning application.
I think the best way to stop this for residents of PH and locals of Hook is to submit their objections individually on Hart councils website before close on the 14th March
18/00201/Ful
https://publicaccess.hart.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=P364ABHZGXM00
This petition will compile everyone's objection resident and local and be sent in letter/pdf format to the planning officer in charge.
Please continue to sign, comment and share.

Soon there won’t be anywhere to work in Hook if all the offices are converted into accommodation.
Road getting too busy with extra houses too.
We don’t need a hotel.

Over-development of the site.
No need for a big hotel in that area.
Yet more traffic going through residential areas (Quince Tree Way, Ravenscroft, Four Acre Coppice, Wild Herons and Bow Field)
More cars travelling up and down Griffin away South which has to be crossed by loads of kids to get to school every day.
There will not be enough Parking for residents already living there and traffic will increase, it will be a nightmare.
