Soon there won’t be anywhere to work in Hook if all the offices are converted into accommodation. Road getting too busy with extra houses too. We don’t need a hotel.
Over-development of the site. No need for a big hotel in that area. Yet more traffic going through residential areas (Quince Tree Way, Ravenscroft, Four Acre Coppice, Wild Herons and Bow Field) More cars travelling up and down Griffin away South which has to be crossed by loads of kids to get to school every day.
How disgusting people have a hard time to get on the property ladder and have had delay after delay from the property developers just to have it devalued
When I moved to Hook in 1984, we CHOSE a village, and developers are ruining our village, making it a town whether we want it or not. Hook doesn’t need a cheap hotel....or flats! It needs 2/3bedroom HOUSES, and retirement properties, so that the young can continue to live in Hook once they leave home, and the elderly who have lived in Hook all their lives can down size to retirement properties!
Complete disregard to all the residents of Providence House. Not informed of the development prior to exchanging/completing on our properties. Parking is limited already and then a low budget hotel in the car park too? Not right.
There will not be enough Parking for residents already living there and traffic will increase, it will be a nightmare.
This will decrease the quality of living for the residents greatly, flats will have no sunlight, parking is limited already, road traffic will increase, the build will go on for another 2 years minimum and looking at the state providence house is still in I don’t see the developers being any better with building a hotel only worse ! The flats are not all sold yet anyway so there’s not a need for more flats here. There are local hotels which aren’t booked regularly ! Etc etc

I'm currently a resident in providence house. These plans are totally unacceptable and was not in place when we purchased the property. These plans will completely change the feel of the area and mean we will be living in a building site for several years to come. Totally unacceptable
