Provide Online Education for All K-12 Students

Expansion of the E-rate program to support Distance Learning and all associated technology requirements (connectivity, devices, security, etc) is critically needed. We'll never return to the old "normal" and need to adapt to this new "normal" of Distance Learning.

PLease fund equitable access for all our students

Students need access from home, now even more so.

"Last mile" funding for broadband Internet service to a student's household has long been a need. Using E-Rate funding in the manner proposed is perfectly aligned with the intent of E-Rate and this minor expansion of purpose would prove a major benefit to our students.

Access to quality internet service should be a right! Those who lack access are being denied opportunities for education, employment and full participation in their civic life. Congress has an obligation to the citizens to ensure that basic investments in the infrastructure of society is made for the benefit of all citizens. Access to the internet is part of that infrastructure. No more excuses! Internet access for all!

As a Technology Coordinator for a public Charter school in an urban community I can testify to the veracity of this need for technology access for distance learning of our students (over 60% of them) who are without access.
