Provide Online Education for All K-12 Students

This is just as important an issue as restarting our economy since we are still trying to serve students educationally across the country.

Many of our students can't do school work because they don't have access to internet.

Rural areas need better, more reliable access to the internet.

As a Tech Director for a School District in rural Idaho I have seen first hand that a large percentage of our students don't have access to internet at home.

Allow funding to cover the cost of mobile Internet access for our students. At least temporarily.

Rural Montana has always had poor internet connectivity. This can easily be fixed with funding and our local telephone company. Verizon threatened to leave rural Montana because it was not cost effective.

It is critically important that all schools have the available funds necessary to equitably, across our entire nation even in the most rural areas, provide access to safe and reliable online learning.

Rural Kentucky has been left with miserable internet for years due to McConnell and Paul's lack of action.

This is essential to create equity in every home and for every child. In our rural, impoverished community more than 70% of our students are unable to utilize the Chromebooks we offered because they have no access to internet in their homes. We were unable to secure hotspots for our students, so this leaves a majority of our low-income, English Learner students without direct access or support from their teachers. They have been provided paper packets to fill the gap.

I urge Congress to support internet access for K-12 students who lack internet access at home.

Providing hotspots to students is vital to learning. Please divert all federal funding for the California high speed rail to E-Rate instead.

This funding is essential for our students. Equity of educational services depends on it!

Internet Access and devices at home is both the biggest immediate need and best long term solution for student learning.

In this day and age highs speed is essential for all students and households.
