Sadly this is not restricted to Brighton, it is happening in East Sussex too my own Autistic Daughter has not been to school for 2 years because they refused to provide for her specific needs an appropriate placement.

I totally agree having an autistic son turned away from two secondary schools and fearing that home schooling will be my only option if his 3rd choice cannot understand his needs. Very frustrating.

Although I dont live in the UK this directly affects me as my young cousin attends this school and it affects her, that is why I am signing this petition.

My son couldn't cope with transition of secondry school and has been out for last 18 months only just got him into a independent school

I definitely agree our family has Aspergers and Dyspraxia .My husband unfortunately did not find out till he was 47 that he had dyspraxia and i have been told there is no support for him in sussex ,if he had had this support at school it would of changed his life.what ever support you need to get this up and running please feel free to email me

My daughter has her education paid for at a private school by the council due to lack of provision.Even then she is only getting part time, non classroom study,no preparation for GCSE's despite being highly gifted because there is no more fuding for her needs,just buck passing....

ASC is under reported in Brighton and Hove. Many children, like mine, cannot have their needs met by any local school. Many are at home or languishing in hodpitald. We need high functioning ASC therputic secondary schools now
