Support this petition as parent to autistic children. And if you want to know how serious it can get when you are put in the position of having to fight for your autistic children's necessary educational support and environment, Brighton & Hove Council make false child protection allegations against you. Please sign this petition also: https://www.change.org/p/robert-goodwill-mp-make-brighton-hove-city-council-and-all-las-cease-unlawful-section-47-ss-investigations I am autistic myself and they committed disability discrimination against myself and our children. They breached Children Act 1989 by conducting the S47 unlawfully and breached multiple social work codes of ethics and conduct as well as breached Human Rights Law and UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. They then coducted harassment to top it off. This LA are appalling and we need to fight autism families being targeted this way. Autism Eye Magazine has another article about autism parents being targeted with FII and emotional harm allegations in retribution.

Shocking LA attitude at Brighton & Hove towards autistic children who just need a different environment and teachers who are trained. Who will be the one to stand up and fight for it in the LA? This is relevant to a majority of LAs. Or, are you to continue leaving autistic young people without access to their education? It will come back to bite you in many other ways when they need more support for mental health and health related matters as a result of being left behind and given such negative messages at such a young age.

Denial in Brighton for all such services is always high, as long as it believes it is this incredibly diverse and giving place it's hype says it is.

Mainstream schools are less and less willing and able to support Sen children with limited funds, the children are isolated and made to feel like they're not good enough and even excluded because of their needs. Things need to change.

I have two children diagnosed. One is now in further education and being supported academically. He should have passed all his exams but to a lack of knowledge and understanding and certainly no support he left with one! I do not want the same thing happening to my daughter. Our children are entitled to an education that is tailored to their needs. . . Most mainstream senior schools cannot deliver this. We, the parents are our children's voices and we will be heard!

Worked in schools in Brighton and Hove..that have now closed.More resources are needed.Children have a right to support.

BRIGHTON & HOVE .. NOT TAKING OUR SEND CHILDREN SERIOUSLY!!
My son has APD Also severe anxiety also. Can't do mainstream school ! I'm now on a CPP for a 2nd time! BUT WHY? It's not our thought my son has medical disorders. He has also been signed off school indefinitely . Local school is needed for a children, with teachers that understand & care in a individual way.

My 15 year old daughter tries her best at everything, but just couldn't cope with the mainstream school environment at secondary school, too loud, too fast, too many changes in a day. Now home schooled as there is no provision for someone like her.

My son has asd he is struggling in primary school,hes now year 6 there is no way he will cope in secondary school but is so hard to get the help i need to get him education so i think this is such a good idea x

Come on Brighton andHove Council .
We hear lots of rhetoric from the council about equal rights and access to services for all . What's happening to these young people is nothing short of scandalous ! The parents and carers are put under so much pressure , destroying what should be positive time with siblings . Put your money where you're mouth is Brighton & Hove Council .

We need schools for children with special needs I have two Grandaughter’s with autism who go to main stream school for 3 hours a week ( yes a week) ridiculous x
