Currently, The Magistrates' Courts (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 means that any child who has suffered assault, common assault or such like, HAS to report this crime within 6 months or the Statutory Bar comes into effect, thus meaning no complaint can be made after this 6 Month Period.
We feel this is unjust and petition for any crime on children to be exempt from this rule.
Please show us your support and help to amend this legislation for the protection of our children.

6 months is nothing. Kids dont even realise what happened to them until years later sometimes. Sort this out.
