Protecting Alpine

We are not, very strongly, not in agreement with additional traffic and homes that connect.

11800 is way too busy for school kids now. We don’t need to add anymore congestion.

Please do not connect these roads/developments.

I agree that this road and gate would be like a toe in the door. No road connecting Draper to Alpine.

I’m against this development and the potential connection to Draper. We don’t need more traffic, pollution, threats to the safety of our children..

I am against any connection to Draper from this neighborhood as it is unnecessary and will result in too much dangerous traffic coming down the hill.

If Blue Bison needs a second access for their development, let them seek and get it from Draper City, not Alpine. No gate, no access to Alpine!

Don’t cut off access to historic trails.

I’m concerned that this high density development is located in a different legal jurisdiction yet will likely have several negative impacts on Alpine, and Alpine won’t have any authority to take remedial action. What if the development causes: water table problems, soil erosion, wildfires, sewage issues, increased fault activity, or any number of other issues? The developer could build all of the required road access they need entirely within Draper city by looping their road, but it would mean they would lose lots and density. Instead they are trying to maximize their density and in so doing they need Alpine’s permission to connect to our roads to have secondary access. Alpine must simply deny their request and fight it at all costs. Spend the effort fighting it now, otherwise Alpine will be paying for this Draper problem later and it will be far more expensive.

Alpine can not become like Draper. Don’t believe the “gate” will stay shut. It’s a Trojan horse

Looks like this whole development would block off access to the Corner Canyon trail system at Hog Hollow and Mercer Hollow. This petition is about more traffic through Alpine, and I don't want that at all. But I also can't stand that recreational areas open to multiple counties, cities, schools, clubs, groups, and other communities are at risk of being blocked. Three Falls comes to mind. That whole area has become available only through remote locations.

There is absolutely no way a "gate" will stop homes from being developed. If there is a road, there will be homes and Alpine does NOT have the infrastructure to support this.

Our leaders need to protect our city! Please listen to the citizens of Alpine!

Alpine does not need any more traffic then we already have. We already have a rush hour traffic both directions causing speeds down to 20 miles an hour coming up through Highland where traffic should be able to continue at 45 miles per hour.

Definitely against this road and that extra traffic it will bring through Alpine.

Alpine streets are not designed to handle this level of traffic, particularly the narrow neighborhood streets. It is a safety issue for the children in our community.
