A road connecting a major commuter thoroughfare (Highland Dr. in Draper) to a quiet residential street (Lakeview Dr. in Alpine) makes no sense for anyone other than the developer that hopes to make a lot of money at the expense of the residents of Alpine. This road would be a huge negative development for not only the Alpine residents near Lakeview Dr., but all Alpine residents that would suffer from the increased traffic, noise, pollution, road wear and danger due to increased traffic. It is not reasonable for Alpine City to accommodate a Draper development with a second access. A "locked gate" is not a solution, rather a constant threat to the residents of Alpine to suffer the consequences of the connecting road that would become a commuter route for many non-residents of Alpine. The developer needs to work out their Draper development with the city of Draper, not Alpine. Please do the right thing and vote "No" on this proposal.

The developer could have provided a second ingress/egress within Draper and chose to have a single one to have more lots. We in alpine should not be their rescue plan. Make them have dual access within Draper. The additional traffic will add additional costs to Alpine

City council, please vote no on gate, road, and eight lots if possible. Four are approved and as far as I know, the citizens never had a say about eight. Find a way to slow the process so your our city and our citizens have a fair chance of getting legal counsel to help find legal ways to mitigate what would be a disaster if any road every goes thru from Draper to Alpine. Don't let Draper dictate Alpine's future. Just stop at the main round-a-bout on a busy day and contemplate a thousand more vehicles on the road. Think of the school on Main Street that already makes it difficult at certain times of the day. Traffic would be cutting through our neighborhoods trying to get to school, appointments, etc. a faster way. Also, please pass laws/codes in advance and don't make exceptions to codes. All this does is open up the gates to future unacceptable exceptions. Just take a look at the eyesore on the corner of Westfield Road and Sunrise Drive. You approved this "plan" and keep making exceptions on parking trailers and tractors on the property. The "landscaping" is atrocious. The weed are a fire hazard as is the huge stump. The dozed driveways?? into the hillside are a mudslide waiting to happen. Would you like this property as the entrance "home" into your beautiful subdivision??? Please work for the citizens and not for private individuals someone may know. Pass laws and codes that will make Alpine an inviting place not disappoint homeowners who settle here and find that the Master Plan is just a document with no teeth whatsoever.

Please DO NOT allow this access! This would create a traffic nightmare for our neighborhoods. We bought here so we could be in a quiet area. The concept of putting a gate up is ridiculous. We all know how permanent that would be. That is such a joke!

My concern is that this Draper subdivision will be paying Draper (Salt Lake County) taxes and using Alpine (Utah County) resources. We will be subsidizing for fire and police because of the mutual aid agreement and these 400+ households will be in the Alpine School District, not Draper. All of the benefits of living In Alpine without any Alpine oversight or public funding coming to Alpine. How is this possible? Please don’t allow this! There is literally ZERO benefit to our town.

Once the connection is made it's only a matter of time before it's a permanent through way. We bought our home on 400 W. two years ago with the understanding that we were buying in a corner of the town that would not have any outside connections.
