Protect Wilderness Park! Your Voice Matters!

I would like improvements on this trail at the creek crossing south of the railroad Bridge horse riders cannot cross there.

Preserving and maintaining Wilderness Park makes good business sense: families move here for many reasons--one being access to nature/natural areas; it makes good ecological sense: preserving habitat for many creatures also preserves a place of calm and renewal for humans.

Please postpone the zone change until more research can be done.

What is not protected today cannot be protected tomorrow. You can’t unbuild houses. Please protect and preserve the little green space we have left.

Please keep Wilderness park the way it is!

Please do the environmental study. Please do not invade peaceful parks with apartments.

Save Wilderness Park and the sacred Native land

Keep the trails open for equine. I grew up riding this park and it was such a safe and beautiful place to ride.

I strongly oppose this and the harm it will have on one of Lincoln’s greatest treasures and it’s wildlife. I’m honestly shocked and disappointed our city has even considered this at all.

This housing will create unnecessary loudness, chaos, and potential safety issues, where we can peacefull park and go enjoy the nature's beauty and sereneness. Putting housing here will open the door for personal attacks, possible chaos, good chances of crimes, and damage the ecosystem in place here for many many years; decades. Plenty more areas around for housing. Leave our one park alone. I have horses and this is one place I have to ride and bond with our horses, and enjoy a beautiful park full of trees, trails, and family friendly environment with my son. Please leave wilderness park and its surroundings alone and free of housing developments.

We go to this park and walk the trails all the time! It’s something we brag about to people who are not from here. It’s sooooooo nice having a park like this within our city. We must have nature escapes like this within our city to promote heath and encourage people to be outdoors! Don’t take this away from us. This is one of the only places I can go to with friends and family.

Sacred sites . Wilderness areas. Citizen opinions. These must all be considered and protected.

Green spaces are crucial to positive mental health and to take away such spaces in a time of mental health crisis in this nation would by highly short-sighted.

We need wild spaces! Not only do we need to protect space for local wildlife, it’s better for the community! Don’t let shortsighted profits ruin something that can never be replaced!

Do the right thing.

Changing use of this area would be a big mistake for Lincoln's future. If you do not know how many uses and enjoyments this park has provided within reach of the city, you should. It is a wild spice used for contemplation, education, science, recreation and its loss would be forever. It is THE ONLY untouched green space Lincoln has. Hands off, please.
