Please don't take ASL away! I would have given anything to have had it offered at my high school 30 plus years ago. Especially since 3 of my kids were born deaf and it's been so important for their learning. Now I have nieces and nephews that want to communicate with their cousins... through high school asl they can learn it.

My child loves ASL at West! It is one of his favorite classes, and has been one of the best experiences of being at West. He loves learning languages, and I'm sure that knowing ASL will serve him well in his future. Please don't take it away!

I graduated from West high where I learned sign language, and I use it frequently. Getting rid of the program would be a disservice to the population of salt lake city, getting rid of education pathways such as asl interpretation, and only serves to discriminate against def and hard of hearing people. Please keep the program going.

I have deaf family members, and I find it important, for anyone that wants to, to have access to resources that educate sign language so that more people can connect and talk to each other.

My step child is loves this program and benefits from it in many ways. If you are in need of volunteers, I took ASL for three years in college and would be open to volunteering time and skills. Thank you!

I used to work as an interpreter and I think it’s wonderful that a high school is offering ASL. Please keep it!

As someone who studied ASL in HS, I cannot tell you how invaluable knowing the language has been. I think it's something everyone should learn at least some of.
