Protect Trans Missourians

This is medical malpractice. The AG has no right to make medical decisions for thousands of people in this state. He has zero medical knowledge and his actions constitute genocide.

I'm ashamed to be from MO for many reasons. This state has so many issues dead wrong. A few on the right do not have the right to shove your conservative agenda down our throats. STOP the hate!!

Let people make their own decisions about their health. So much for the party of “small government”

By cutting off access to gender-affirming care, Attorney General Bailey is cutting trans people off from the benefits of treatment, which include improved quality of life and mental health, as well as reduced suicide risk. The emergency rule also puts trans people in Missouri at increased risk of persecution. Furthermore this rule is discdiminatory against people with ASD and mental health comorbidities by labeling them as incapable of making informed decisions regarding their health care in coordination with their provider. This is yet another piece of legislation, with no benefit to the people of Missouri, that has been introduced to stoke the flames of AG Bailey's and the Missouri GOP culture wars at the expense of trans people, people with Autism and those with mental health conditions.

I trust youth, parents and the medical profession to do what is appropriate.

Trans rights are HUMAN rights

Trans medical care cured my best friend's life-threatening depression. He wouldn't be here today without it. There are so many real problems in this state, focus on those.

Trans rights are human rights!

I am a 34 yr old trans woman who lives in Park hills MO and I've been on HRT for almost 2 yrs. This new action by the MO AG is attempting to obstruct essential health care I need to live. I have a 3 yr old and a 10 yr old, I need this so I can be there for my children

The United States declared independence from Great Britain in 1776 to secure for all Americans their unalienable rights. These rights include, but are not limited to, "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Thomas Jefferson, chief author of the Declaration of Independence, by using the word "unalienable," claimed two things about our human rights. First, these rights are not given to us by the government. We have them even if the government does not respect them. Second, we cannot cede these rights to the government even by our own consent. They cannot be taken away from us, and we cannot give them away.

This is too extreme. It is infringing on other peoples rights. I don't think it's right for the government to tell people who they are.

Let everyone life THEIR life!!

I have a transgender granddaughter and this is a violation of her rights.

This bill is harmful to Trans people and Trans youth. A large part of our population suffers from depression. That statement should not impact someone's right to their own health choices and identity. This is an infringement on our rights, because Trans rights are human rights. Children and their parents should be able to make their own medical decisions. This type of care prevents suicide. Blood ID on the hands of those who voted for this bill. People WILL die without the care they need.

Trans kids and adults deserve respect

If this was about protecting children, you would look at the alarming statistics regarding mental health and suicide rates among the trans community due to lack of support and societal bullying. If you wanted to help, you would campaign for strengthening the mental health system to ensure the best outcomes for all, as opposed to finding ways to penalize those that offer help. Do better, Missouri.

Who is it hurting if someone wants to alter their own body? Nobody.
