Protect the sex-based rights of people in New South Wales

There are intersex people so the others are female sex and male sex. Who says inter gender? Madness.

Women are biological sex with 2 xx chromosomes we normally have children either male or female. Gender identity needs there own third space stop erasing women

Sex is binary and immutable. Keep spaces & services sex-specific. Gender is a social construct; sex is biological reality.

A well worded petition

Rights must be based on biological sex, which is a scientific fact, not gender identity, which is a theory and is totally subjective. Rights based on gender identity are legally unsound because since it is subjective it cannot be proved.

Sex-specific services and spaces are vital.

Cannot believe the extreme stupidity and misogyny of a society which legislates to enable adult males to enter the changing rooms of my 12 year old daughter simply by saying he is a woman or identities as such. My 12 year old daughter has less rights than me and cannot yell "get out of the girls toilets" because she can no longer say she has that right. In fact she can now be called discriminatory. Thanks so much for entitled adult males even more at the expense of women and girls. And I cannot even begin to express my disgust that this mysgogyny is being replicated in women's prisons, sports and free speech. Dumbo. It would be funny if it didn't cause so much trauma.

There are exceptions, such as intersex people, but they are very rare. Gender and sex are different and safe single sex spaces should be protected.

Single sex provisions are good for women and girls

there are two sexes, female and male, there are any number of genders but sex and gender are different and need to be recognised as such, women are adult human females and our sex-based rights as lesbians and women need to be protected under the law and not confused with the rights of others because lesbians and women are still discriminated against as far as jobs, wages, domestic violence and other well-document issues, like toilets, change rooms and women's sports are concerned, protect women's sex-based rights!

Gender is a diversion from science.

'Identity' is not fluid regardless of the emotional confidence individuals feel that they are genuinely identifiable according to their own terms of reference. Ideally, there needs to be an accommodation for everyone according to their identity but the proposal to deny any group in order to support any other group is highly problematic and unreasonable. Why not a Male, Female and Liberated category or something else which allows everyone to endorse the truth they hold dear about themselves which defines the degree to which they can feel safe and supported? To deny the rights of anyone is counterproductive as is forcing anyone to accept problematic outcomes that they believe are entirely dishonest. Compelling women to share safe places with men who identify as women disrespects the women who seek that safe space. But there should be a safe space for those who gender identify differently. This bill doesn't achieve equality. It needs to be replaced with a bill to achieve real freedom for everyone to live well and safely. Parity needs to be established not ideological equality.

This is discrimination against women
