There is no evidence in Australia or globally to show that anyone is safer or more respected or valued when 'sex' is replaced by 'gender'. There is a great deal of evidence to show that women's and children's rights and safety are eroded when gender replaces sex.

The consequences of this needs much greater thought and attention before we sign away the category of sex in favour of gender. It is not straightforward nor is it as progressive as people might think.

Deeper consideration of the implications associated with the changes to protect gender identity over sex needs to take place in a reasoned way. I'm not sure that the specific needs and potential risks towards women and children have been fully considered or valued.

Self-ID is dangerous for women and girls. It cannot be enforced because it is based on a feeling, not reality.

Sex is binary - human beings are born either male or female. Gender refers to the stereotypical heterosexual feminine and masculine traits which can be present in both sexes. Clearly, not the same thing.
