Womanhood is not based in a feeling or the performance of gender stereotypes. It is based upon our bodily experiences based on our chromosomes and cannot be changed by hormones and cosmetic surgery.

Supporting hard fought for rights for women to have safe spaces will be undermined if “gender” usurps “sex” in many documents.

No person who hasn’t at least once in their life sought comfort from crippling period pain, or woke to find nightclothes and bedlinen stained from heavy flow or battled with the dilemma whether to wear a tampon and a pad to school on heavy flow days with the worry of leaking at some stage , on the bus, on the train or in the co-Ed comprehensive school classroom can ever consider themselves female. I could add a long list of other purely biologically female experiences that constitutes being female. Dressing in a slinky gown with high heels , nails and hair and make up done may give a person a superficial feeling of being female but does not and will never constitute being female. And to have such a person invade my space ie female toilet is not acceptable. As far as I can ascertain it’s people like me ( biological female) has to deal with a private space being invaded and I’m not comfortable about my 7 yr old granddaughter having to deal with her not to mention me needing to explain the situation. I’m generally a compassionate person but I think issues such as who is being displaced / or having their private space invaded need to be considered.

We need to prohibit any attempts to change sex of child less than 18 years of age.

Women especially need women only spaces, not places hijacked by former men who may or may not still have a penis and these same people should stay out of women’s sport (penis or not)after having all the strength of male puberty, this attitude can only cause major problems, as I has had women raped in jails in many instances.

There are only two sexes, gender is a social construct that feminism has tried to abolish. So dress as you like but the dress doesn’t make you the other sex.
