Protect the Rappahannock River oppose Dominion Power's new transmission line

This must not happen. Local resident for 31 years and counting. Dominion power is the #1 polluter in the state of VA, so what do you think will happen to our home????

No towers.......do the right thing........underwater cable(s)

Towers are not the norm for other scenic river crossings in VA. Very short sighted to use them on this crossing, one of the most scenic in the State.

Please reconsider the above ground plan for wires!

I oppose the construction of electrical transmission towers across the Rappahannock River

We would like to see these power lines installed underwater as opposed to hanging from permanent, obtrusive towers.

Find another solution!

I had the opportunity to see the visual representations (photo-shopped images of the bridge) of the project on Thursday. They're just what we imagine: the poles are large, tall, very bright silver metal braced by bright silver metal lattice. The three wires are draped looseley from pole to pole and march all the way across the river, high above the bridge. From a distance, not so bad, but from the west, up close and crossing the bridge, they would be very industrial, unsightly and distracting in my opinion.

Please...no new towers across the river. All options, including that one, are expensive, but the long-term value of putting these lines underwater is inestimable.

Please place all lines under water or buried. Safety of the general public needs to be guarded regardless of costs, etc.

Why can't the lines be buried and hide all the ugliness ?

Dominion Power Virginia has the following in their undated release of the Norris Bridge project: "Visual representations of the project will be available soon: •View an engineering schematic of the project •View photo simulations of what the project will look like •View a representative image of a steel H-frame structure" I CAN FIND NOTHING THAT IS AVAILABLE.

As jv White Some residents were are categorically opposed to the Dominion Electric plan to erect transmission towers across the Rappahannock River proximate to the bridge. We see such a plan as an unnecessary abomination! Please vote NO to the request for permitting.

Please do not allow these unsightly towers to be built. Burying the lines will enhance our view of the river and shorelines and simultaneously prevent the possibility of a future accident.

Given the potential for serve weather events as well as increased risk to the boating community, it seems it would be more cost effective in the long run to bury the lines.

I urge you to oppose the approval of overhead transmission lines across the Rappahannock River.

Since this issue has just come to the attention of most citizens who will be impacted by this project, a delay of approval and community briefings about the project are in order. It is difficult to understand why well-publicized information sessions haven't already been held.
