As a former queen of McKinley Senior High School it is imperative on the legacy and tradition staying the same. It may not be important to some, but it means the world to the students of McKinley and the people who have come before us. Thank you for giving us a voice in voting which way this should go. McKinley is a historic school all about TRADITION.

I am truly proud of the work Lionel & Charnelle have done over the past years with the McKinley H.S. Royal Court. They are dedicated & hardworking young adults. Lionel was the former Mr. McKinley & Charnelle was the former SGA President. They are also Southern University college students who have jobs, but still manage to volunteer each day to make the Royal Court a success. The students represented the court with pride. I believe this made other McKinley students want to be a part of the court. Success takes hard work and dedication. They both are great role models and impacted the students in a positive way. I will support Lionel & Charnelle in every endeavor. When God is in it, all things are possible!

Mr. Lee and Ms. Casma really care about the young ladies and men who participate on the court at McKinley High School. They are two hard working young people who put their all into making sure the court represents McKinley well. I believe they should have the opportunity to come back to enhance what they have already started. I’m proud of them both and I commend them for their hard work and dedication.

Although i was not technically part of the court , i was constantly around because my best friend was on it. Based off of what i witnessed the advisors for the 2017-2018 school year genuinely cared for the kids and did everything they could to make sure that the court members had what they needed and looked more than presentable. However, with the recent decision to change who is in charge of homecoming court, I am worried that in the future the court will not be as high quality as it was.

If the program was ran perfectly last year and the previous sponsors ran it correctly there should be no change in the program whatsoever

My friend Kureyus served as Miss junior and it really changed her for the better, hearing her talk about her experiences with her advisors encouraged me to run and i was devastated once she told me Ms. Jiles, an unfit employee, would be taking over
