Leixlip wldnt be the same without the wonderful barn, I loved going for walks up there as a child and now when I'm home I love taking my children up, even as kids they get the beauty of the place.

This is a Kildare landmark and should be valued & not let greedy people ruin it by building another load of poorly built housing for people who are probably on the social anyway. Save our beauty. Save what most people in Leixlip grew up playing at and loving so dearly. Please don't make a huge error.

Normally I'm all for progress, but the Barn is a highly significant local landmark, and is a great part of Leixlip's history.
While it may not make many tourist maps, in the early 1990's I was asked for directions to it by a group of French tourists.
I am of the opinion that the construction of so many houses in the vicinity may cause irreparable damage to this unique structure, which is already in a fragile state.
