The Governor's proposed gun control bill does nothing for combatting crime and only disarms the citizens of Waynesboro and Virginia. The only people it will help are the criminals who care nothing about gun laws. The passage of his bill will make anyone who owns a semi-auto from 22 target pistols to rifles criminals. The only plausible reason for him to want this bill is to repay his debt to Bloomberg who poured over 3 million dollars into his campaign fund. Voting to make Waynesboro and Augusta county gun sanctuaries will send a message to Bloomberg and Governor Northam that Virginians care about the safety of Virginians from illegal immigrants and his anti-gun agenda.

The Second Amendment was added to the Constitution to give the citizens the right to keep an abusive government from usurping the Bill of Rights. Self-protection for all individuals is a God given right, not a government edict that can be rescinded. Augusta Co BoS, respect your constituents and do the right thing by enacting this resolution.

There is no reason to take guns from citizens.we have our rights!guns dont kill!!people do!fix mental health issues and substance abuse first!or druggies and mentally I'll will kill with knives,swords or bare hands.its not the guns it's the people that need fixed.
