We can all learn from the past, but not if it becomes 'erased' or hidden from us. Councils must continue to acknowledge our local heritage in its entirety. They must not entertain calls to remove our monuments, which should also be protected from any threat of vandalism.

People of Sunderland and all over Great Britain as a matter of fact, should not give in to a criminal minority.
Our history should not be erased from our beautiful cities, it is how we learned to improve and to respect what happened in the past.
Sunderland and all of Great Britain, should never give in to criminals, terrorists or any bullying pressure groups.
