I enjoyed going to the farmer market visiting the farmers and people who are local selling their goods as well family events for the kids and parents as well the Friday after Five, Christmas parade, and standing out in street to cheer our salem sport teams when they went the state championship and so much more. Small town with feels of family community ! A big traditions worth continuing for years to comes....

There should be no building over top of the open air farmers market! This move just seems like pure greed on part of the city.

I can't believe that anyone would even consider changing anything about our historic little town.
Keep the ambiance of this beautiful little town. Stop trying to fill every little space with concrete!!!!!

Salem has a wonderful farmers market. Perfect in every way. I would seriously leave what is good and working alone.

Please don't build over Market Square. Keep it an open space. It works so well now for so many events. We need open space in the heart of our City. Put that hotel on Thompson Memorial or someplace else, not on the Market.
