When we moved to the area, our real estate agent drove us through charming downtown Salem, and l knew we were home! Being 10 minutes from the Farmers market sealed our decision to buy in Salem.
Fresh food and local farmers have never been more needed. We might move elsewhere if you ruin this important space with a hotel.

Keep the City of Salem the way it is known for, I have grown up here all my Life and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Salem not only has PRIDE but, has Family oriented Values and LOVE on which you cannot find anywhere else this day and time. Leave the City of Salem Farmers Market as is.And, Hope Tree is a Wonderful place as Well. Don't take Away what SALEM AND ALL OF IT'S CITIZENS HAS WORKED SO HARD TO HAVE. LAURA L. RUBEN

I do not feel like the Salem Farms Market is being promoted as well as it could be. Which has caused a decline in vendors and other gatherings.

It is so much more than a market. It is city attraction. Always buy my produce there because it is so fresh. And where can you go to get hot pepper jam, hot peppers and spicy pickles, bakery goods, cheese, cakes...list goes on. Love that place and can't see Salem without it.

The farmers market is one of the places that make Salem a great place to be live. We enjoy the events/activities that go on there as well as a great meeting place for visitors. A great landmark. Ask anyone and they can tell you where the Salem farmers markets located....even 2 counties away!
