Protect Resident Parking on Gartons Way and Chatfield Road.

The commercial vehicles are a really big problem for residents - please make this happen!!!

I am not a lease holder but a regular visitor to the area and find it impossible to find parking either free or on a meter. The whole area is full of commercial vehicles and sometimes double parking. A fire engine had to mount the pavement to get past a double parked car when I was there last week.

The roads should be shared with all users.

There are too many lorrys sitting outside our block never any parking spaces outside also in mendip road some taxi firm runs with approx 30 drivers and they all constantly replace their cars with either next colleagues car or a car that can be stored on their site on this road and surrounding roads this isn’t a private road why is this allowed to happen , think these roads should be metered during week and weekend personally

I can’t quite understand why restricted parking isn’t operating in this area. It would allow the council to collect revenue instead of allowing permanent spaces for those wily enough to know how to keep them for themselves!

The introduction of meters would be much fairer to all. The current arrangement with trucks parked daytime, evenings & weekends is an eyesore. An improvement is needed.

Commercial vehicles have had the run of the place for 10 years plus. Time to go

We recently had a 90 year old visiting us who could not park anywhere in the area as all spaces were taken up by commercial vehicles which had not moved all weekend.

In addition the large number of commercial vehicles makes it difficult to pass safely as there is limited passing space on the street

Currently it is impossible for me to park, even though I live at plantation wharf as the van I drive doesn’t fit in the underground parking. All spaces are taken by the building works or works vehicles

Long overdue.

It is hard to find a more blatant abuse of public facilities than the commercial parking experienced on Gartons Way and Chatfield Road. Spaces are blocked with old cars during the day and these are replaced by commercial vehicles overnight. This totally excludes legitimate visitors to local estates and businesses. The large commercial vehicles often create hazards to traffic, and are jammed together so that pedestrians cannot cross between them. Controlled parking is urgently required.

Stop unrestricted parking. It's residential now and kids round between high vans into the road. It's a fatality waiting to happen.

Need restricted parking in Chatfield Rd and Mendip Rd

I feel strongly that this road should have restricted parking. This will allow a fair distribution of the spaces, rather than allowing the local company parking their vans nose to bumper effectively monopolising the whole road. It is also a danger to have so many vans parked on a road in this fashion becasuse it completely restricts a drivers view of the pavement and therefore you can’t hope to seen children/adults/pets running out into the road. I also know that the vans swap with their personal cars in order to maintain their hold on the spaces.

The taking up of parking spaces by the same vehicles almost indefinably is very inconvenient for the residents and visitors.

This is urgently needed.

The area is supposed to be for residents and local business. Local restaurants need our help so parking isn't occupied by huge trucks.

Parked vans and lorries immediately outside the Riverside Plaza car park entrance/exit gates create total blind spots and make getting out of the park extremely hazardous.

Controlled Parking Zones on these two streets is long overdue.
