Protect Resident Parking on Gartons Way and Chatfield Road.

I am a resident in Chatfield Road. The use of Chatfield Road, Gartons Way and Mendip Road by commercial vehicles on a long-term basis, and by non-residents, for example in the car maintenance depot in Mendip Road, creates a dangerous driving environment in these roads. Sight lines are severely impaired and there is a significant risk of accidents as a result. The streets are never cleaned because there are always vehicles preventing it being done properly. The commercial organisations which park their vehicles in these roads are not based in this area, and only use it because parking is unrestricted. There is nowhere for visitors to residential or commercial premises to park their vehicles on a short term basis. The area is generally unpleasant as a result; no other roads in the areas are as unregulated as these three roads

I also completely concur with what all the other residents have stated and I am too, surprised that this worsening, dangerous problem has not been addressed sooner.

I struggle to use the Chatfield Doctors surgery because of this exact problem.

With the continually increasing residential density in the immediate area early implementation of this petition proposals is essential

The present arrangement is a disaster just waiting for accidents to happen with commercial vehicles taking up such a huge amount of space.

I live at Riverside Plaza, currently entering & exiting our garage is near impossible, plus the drivers of the commercial vehicles are rude and seriously threatening, especially for me as a woman if I get home late in the winter when it's already dark at 4pm, plus drive erratically! Please help us the residents who have lived here for 21 years + paying our local council tax!

Please please bring in restricted parking so we can sleep at night !

This is long over due - i dont understand why any one can park free in this area , or as others have replied , leave cars unattended for months on end . I suggest a metred area max stay 2 hours .

The vehicles parking on our road are very large and it is difficult drive through on most days. Particularly around the dangerous Gartons Way corner which really needs mirrors so that you can see if there is a car coming towards you around the corner.

As a resident it is an parking situation for guests and access to and from the underground residents car park dangerous

This has our 100% support and will considerably improve the area.

I live in Chatfield Road and it is extremely difficult to find parking or to even negotiate the road with all the commercial vehicles blocking the way.

Never any space - there only ever seem to be commercial vehicles in the area.

The street is not only clogged with commercial vehicles there are a number of what look like abandoned vechiles as well. Needs to be controlled as does York place

Please make room for private car parking and move commercial vehicle off to designated sites.
