It is extraordinary that the council hasn't considered doing something about this problem before now.

Commercial and abandoned vehicles have taken over the parking in the area for far too long. It needs to be regulated.

Brilliant idea and totally fair. Residents visiting the health centre cannot park and it is very difficult to cross the road safely.

Lots of seemingly abandoned old cars sleeping in these free to park areas. I thought nowhere in London had free parking, why should it be here in zone 2?

Well done Cllr Hampton and those involved in this petition. The off street parking adjacent to Plantation Wharf has been chaotic and uncontrolled for far too long.

These businesses run public roads like a private car park. They have a flawless operation to permanently control all available spaces.

Coming out of our garage is dangerous because of high vehicles stopping our view

I agree. A fair for all approach to parking in these areas is needed. Its not just for commercial vans who are colonising it for themselves.

We would like to have metered parking bays around Plantation Wharf so that our guests could park their cars in the street which they are unable to do at the moment

All of these commercial vehicles have taken over our streets and the companies they claim to represent don't even have commercial purposes in the area! This is something that must be changed.

Please introduce controlled parking zones. The large trucks and vans are blocking the view around corners which increases the risk of incidents.

Please add York Place to the scheme. 2-4 hour metered parking would be sensible. The ownership of the streets by Sheikh Maktoum's staff and storage/removal companies is utterly ludicrous. Since losing Homebase car park there is almost nowhere to park in the area, although I have heard of people parking here and taking the C3 bus to their place of work in Lots Road! Additionally, large commercial vehicles parking on corners is incredibly dangerous, so please make sure that there are sufficient double yellow lines in these areas.
