I think this is a totally unsafe environment to expose our children to.. I am totally against it & surely hope our board is smart enough to not let it happen!!

Freedoms are important, however we must remember there are humans who will abuse any change in rules. If you don't feel comfortable using rooms assigned to your physical characteristics, use the private rooms.

Privacy is important for ALL kids, not just those who associate as a different gender. Label bathrooms not as girls or boys/ men or women...but as penis and vagina. You have those parts that's the room you go in. Otherwise, a private bathroom will be made available to any individual who requests one, without any harassment from teachers/ principals for doing so.

Kids in middle school and high school are self conscious enough and their own bodies. Let alone to have someone of the opposite sex in the bathroom/changing room. I get that in the public we have no idea if the person next to us is transgender. Personally I don't care. But I feel this will cause a lot of undo added stress on the children. As if trying to pass classes and making sure you understand common core math, passing the PSSA/Keystones aren't enough let's add wondering if the next person walking into the locker room is going to be a male while my teenage daughter is half naked. Or thee opposite for my teenage son!! Oy!!

In our student handbook it says that we have rights guaranteed by our constitution. The school board is taking away 2100 students rights so that 1 student can be protected. I am one of those 2100. Praying that this motion passes May 8th.

Other students should not be made uncomfortable having to share a locker room or bathroom with a student of the opposite biological sex just to accommodate internal beliefs on gender of one student.

I am one of dozens of families in this area who are home schooling their children because we don't want to expose them to this. There is a way to honor trans students and hetero students alike.

This is ridiculous. Have a boys, girls and "other" if you have to. Everyone shouldn't suffer for a few outliers.

I believe that if a child is confused about there identity then they need their own bathroom/changing room. My daughter will be in middle school next year and no way do I agree with letting a boy in there getting changed and showering in the Same room she's in. This ridiculousness needs to stop!!!!

We need to protect all of our children and ensure they all are safe, have a voice, are heard, and respected. This change in our school system would go against everything that I have taught my children regarding values, respect for themselves, and their privacy. Please keep my children equally protected and respected.

I agree 100% with this petition. The safety and comfort of all the students must be a priority. This is dangerous. Make accommodations for transgender students without making the majority of the student body feel uncomfortable.

I am a parent of children attending PSAD
I do not agree with this.
